A Pal who shows up, built around each resident.

Residents don't pick a preset. The Bonding Ritual shapes each resident's Pal at activation: a four-minute story-based exchange where their voice, pace, and history set the Pal's personality.

From there, the Pal grows with the resident. Daily conversations, biometric signal from the ring, and small life moments deepen the Pal's understanding through Graph Memory. Every thirty days, the Pal recalibrates against the resident's own evolving baseline.

The architecture is grounded in Northeastern University's embodied conversational agent program: the foundational research on relational AI. An agent from that program was tested as part of the Re-Engineered Discharge intervention at Boston Medical Center, where a 738-patient RCT cut 30-day re-hospitalizations and ED visits by 30% versus standard discharge.

01How long does deployment take?

Sixty to ninety days from partnership agreement to your first outcomes review. Per-resident onboarding takes twenty minutes each. Seven days after each resident's onboarding, their benchmark is established and the first family report lands. Day 90 facility-wide is the first outcomes review.

02Will residents, including those with cognitive decline, actually use it?

Yes. The smart ring is automatic — twenty-four-hour biometric monitoring with no input from the resident. The Pal speaks the first language the resident was raised in. For residents who can no longer operate their phone, the ring still provides continuous biometric signal.

03Does YapCare replace our staff?

No. The Pal is not a clinical role. It takes on companionship hours and continuous biometric monitoring, so your staff stays focused on the hands-on care only they can provide. Your care plan is the source of truth.

04Is the smart ring safe and comfortable for continuous wear?

05What's the pricing model?
